Dial A Rod clear the majority of blockages using a combination of manual techniques, high pressure jetting or electro-mechanical equipment. However, problems with blocked drains need further investigation.
With a range of the latest CCTV cameras, we are able to inspect all sizes of drains and pipes. With a close-up view of the pipe or drain, we are able to accurately identify the nature of the blockage and deal with it quickly.
Although 99% of blocked drains are cleared without the need for a CCTV drain survey, sometimes this is the only course of action to take. Using CCTV we can quickly identify if a drain has collapsed or has a major blockage. The footage of your drain is recorded on an SD card, so you (and us) can see exactly what the problem is and how far down the drain it has occurred.
In the case of shared drains (used by multiple properties), the CCTV footage can be uploaded to YouTube which allows all property owners or tenants to view the detail. The cost of any subsequent work would usually be covered by your insurance company.
Some people find it surprising that a CCTV survey can actually save them money when it comes to clearing a blocked drain. As this approach removes the need for exploratory excavation and drain replacement, costs can be reduced substantially. A quick diagnosis of the problem means that unnecessary work can be avoided, which means a more efficient & cost-effective service for our customers.
To allow immediate investigation (if required), we ensure that all vans carry a range of cameras capable of surveying pipes from 40mm to 500mm. There is no extra charge for this service. We are naturally happy to carry out insurance work.
"I have a domestic property which had a blocked drain - I was originally in contact with one of the national bigger companies, but the service I had from Dial A Rod was just outstanding.
Steve and his team were out within half an hour, and completed the job mess free - and at great value!
Thanks for your hard work
Dial A Rod." - Andrew Adams
